Every great place has a story worth telling. Ours just happens to involve a bit of magic, some stubborn dreamers, and a whole lot of coffee.
Look, I'll level with you. Back in 2012, my grandmother showed me this crumbling old harbor warehouse and said it had "potential." I thought she'd lost it. The place smelled like fish and regret.
But she told me stories — real old Vancouver tales mixed with myths she'd collected from travelers over fifty years. Dragons in the harbor fog. Sirens singing near the docks. The kind of stuff that makes you wonder if maybe, just maybe, there's more to this world than what we see.
So we took that warehouse and turned it into something that'd honor those stories. Took us three years, way too much money, and more than a few arguments with the city planning department. But here we are.

Found this gorgeous disaster of a building. Most people saw rust and rot. We saw bones of something legendary waiting to wake up.
Three years of madness. We brought in craftspeople who understood that every carved dragon, every stained glass window needed to tell part of the story. No shortcuts, no fake stuff.
February 14th. Yeah, we're romantic like that. Twenty-three suites, a banquet hall that made grown adults cry, and a spa that honestly exceeded even our wildest hopes.
Boutique Hotel of the Year in BC. Honestly thought they'd mixed up the envelopes. But nope — turns out people really dig sleeping in a place that feels like stepping into another world.
Still here, still weird, still committed to giving folks an escape from ordinary life. We've got plans for expansion but we're taking it slow. Good magic can't be rushed.
Stories matter more than thread count (though ours is pretty great too)
Every guest deserves to feel like the hero of their own adventure
Luxury isn't about being stuffy — it's about being comfortable enough to be yourself
Vancouver's myths and history deserve to be celebrated, not forgotten
Magic exists if you're willing to look for it
We've got about forty amazing people keeping this ship sailing. Here's a few you might run into.
